This rack-mount storage appliance manages both block and file data in a form factor that is perfect for departments, branch offices, and small or home office (SOHO) users. It merges Ethernet-based Storage Area Networks (IP-SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) on a single storage platform. Ideal for either primary or secondary storage, it provides enterprise-level features at a price that is attractive to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Its support for iSCSI enables block applications like Microsoft Exchange and Oracle to be deployed or stored on the same server as traditional file services and storage. The StorTrends 1300i is designed with performance in mind, and includes features for advanced storage management such as High Availability, Advanced Snapshots, Volume Replication, Failover and much more. The StorTrends 1300i offers a host of advanced features that until now only existed in systems costing many times more than the StorTrends 1300i. The Volume Replication features of the StorTrends 1300i allows data to be stored on multiple StorTrends appliances at multiple sites, for high availability and disaster recovery in the event of a catastrophe.
